Jello Skin: the Latest Trend | VSBC

Jello Skin: the Latest Trend | VSBC

The latest skincare trend to take over the beauty world is "jello skin," a look that has become popular in Korean skincare. Jello skin, (also sometimes known "glass skin"), is characterized by a soft and bouncy complexion with an almost jello-like sheen. This dewy look is achieved by using the right combination of at home skincare and in-clinic treatments to create a radiant, hydrated glow without looking greasy, making it perfect for any season or occasion. With its natural radiance and healthy bounce, 'jello skin' has quickly become one of the most sought after skincare trends around the world!

Achieving the coveted jello skin look is all about using skincare products and ingredients that are specifically designed to hydrate and nourish the skin. Hydrating skincare products like moisturizers, serums, face masks, and other skincare essentials can help to give your skin a dewy and glassy appearance and will include ingredients such as beta glucan, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, glycerin, aloe vera, jojoba oil, vitamin E oil, just to name a few of our favorites. These ingredients include a mix of humectants, oils, and emollients that work by increasing the water content of the skin while also locking in moisture and providing essential nutrients to keep skin looking healthy and radiant.

One thing that many in the K-beauty realm say differentiates 'Jello' skin from just glassy/dewy skin is that there is also a focus on your overall health and its impact on your skin, primarily getting good quality sleep, eating a balanced and nourished diet, and getting enough essential fatty acids to promote an even more radiant appearance to the skin, and we couldn't agree more!

One final trick to nourishing your skin to full 'jello' potential is to also incorporate professional treatments specifically designed to gently exfoliate, adequately hydrate, and perhaps most importantly, boost microcirculation and oxygenation directly to the skin, resulting in gorgeous bouncy, glowing skin. Two treatments that are my personal favorites that accomplish this are the DMK Enzyme treatment, as well as a new treatment option that we will open up to clients by February 2023, Carboxytherapy. Both treatments leave your skin incredibly supple, hydrated, nourished and have the added benefit of flushing your lymphatic system and getting rid of cellular debris and toxins. Add our Lift & Sculpt Facial Massage to take either of these services to the next level, and not only will you see sculpted, dewy skin, but you'll feel refreshed and rejuvenated and ready for whatever may come your way, too!

By incorporating these at home and in-clinic hydrating skincare tips and treatments into your routine, you'll be ready to show off your own gorgeous 'jello skin' in no time!

Neurotoxins (such as "Botox") use a purified protein from the botulinum toxin that has been proven to safely and effectively stop the nerve from sending messages to the muscle to move in ways that cause the skin the wrinkle/crinkle up and display those pesky wrinkles like the "11's" in between our brows, the horizontal lines across our foreheads, or the "crows feet" to the side of our eyes when we squint, smile, or make other expressions.
